Driving Positive Change Through Purpose

At GovNet, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives reflect our commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and ethical business practices — building a better future for all.

GovNet’s Corporate Social Responsibility

At GovNet, our work goes beyond events. As a trusted convenor of public sector conversations for nearly 30 years, we recognise the responsibility we hold in shaping a better society.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is built into the fabric of how we operate, with four key pillars guiding our impact.

Our CSR Roadmap

We’ve set 2025 as a key milestone, with measurable goals embedded across our business by 2026. This journey unites our people, partners, and customers in amplifying positive change across every sector we touch.

“CSR isn’t an initiative—it’s who we are.” - The GovNet Team

CSR Pillars

Community Engagement

We give back to the communities we serve - through charitable partnerships, employee volunteering, and upskilling initiatives that leave a lasting impact.

Ethical Governance

We lead with integrity. Transparency, accountability, and responsible decision-making define how we operate and what we expect from our partners.

Employee Welfare

Our people are our greatest strength. We prioritise mental, physical, and professional wellbeing in a culture that’s inclusive, respectful, and supportive.

Our commitment is reinforced by our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy → which supports both our internal teams and the wider communities we engage with.

Environmental Commitment

We’re on a mission to actively reduce our environmental footprint across all our events and operations, championing sustainability through innovation and mindful planning with our venues and contractors.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at GovNet

At GovNet, our mission is to deliver market-leading events that inform, inspire, and drive positive change. We believe that fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace is essential to achieving this goal.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do.

Through inclusive employee lifecycle practices, we strive to create a culture of belonging—one that respects and celebrates every individual's gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, and all other qualities that make them unique.

This Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy serves as our roadmap for building a truly inclusive workplace. Real progress depends on the shared commitment of everyone we work with—our employees, suppliers, partners, and the delegates who attend our events. By working together and remaining open to learning and change, we can create a more inclusive future for all.

Maggie’s Cancer Care

At GovNet, we’re proud to have built a strong and meaningful partnership with Maggie’s, a charity providing free cancer support and care across the UK. For the past two years, we’ve worked closely with the Maggie’s team through a range of fundraising initiatives, volunteering efforts, and awareness campaigns.

In 2024, several of our brave team members took part in a charity skydive, jumping from great heights to raise funds for Maggie’s vital services. More recently, in 2025, our very own Head of Operations & CX was "locked up" for charity, only released once her fundraising target was met!

Looking ahead, we’re excited to have over 20 GovNet employees signed up for the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2025, each committed to hitting their fundraising goal in support of Maggie’s.

We’ve also rolled up our sleeves for hands-on support. Members of our team have spent time at Maggie’s main London centre, volunteering for a day of gardening and grounds maintenance, helping create a welcoming and peaceful space for those who rely on their services.

Supporting Maggie’s is more than a charitable cause for us—it’s a partnership rooted in empathy, community, and action.

The Brain Tumor Charity 2024 and 2025

In 2024, HETT was proud to welcome The Brain Tumor Charity (TBTC) as our official charity partner for the year, and this has now continued into 2025. This partnership saw BTC take part in a wide range of activities throughout the HETT show period, helping to raise both vital funds and awareness for their important work.

The collaboration kicked off with an evening fundraiser the night before the show opened, attended by healthcare professionals, innovators, and leaders from across the sector. Following this, our two-day HETT show, where TBTC had a dedicated exhibition stand and a speaker slot on the main agenda, allowing them to host a full session and engage directly with the health tech community.

Over the course of the event, TBTC raised more than £4,000 and connected with numerous delegates from clinical, research, and supplier backgrounds—connections they described as invaluable. The charity noted that the exposure gained through HETT significantly boosted their social media reach and helped amplify their message to new and engaged audiences.

BTC highlighted that this level of visibility and engagement would have been difficult to achieve without the support and platform provided by HETT. We’re proud to have supported their mission and look forward to building more impactful partnerships in the future.

The British Heart Foundation 2025

2025 sees HETT’s charity partnerships grow and welcome the British Heart Foundation (BHF), joining a session in our digitally empowered experience theater on creating a culture of prevention.

BHF mission is to raise money to fund research that saves and improves lives and support people affected by heart and circulatory diseases, the world’s biggest killers.

Every three minutes, someone loses their life to a heart or circulatory disease in the UK. The scientific research that they fund can help us find answers that give hope. But they can’t do it alone. To save lives and to protect futures, they urgently need your support. Help make a difference and donate now.
