Within DWP Strategic Sourcing, Frank leads the team developing their Supplier Relationship Management framework, which has been implemented with the Department's key IT suppliers and is being rolled out across the rest of DWP. A significant part of this role involves driving the Department's sustainable development agenda with their IS/IT suppliers. Frank has also been instrumental in working with the Office of Government Commerce to develop their cross government supplier management tools and processes.

Technology Consultant, Environment Agency

Simon Redding is a technology consultant working currently for the Environment Agency. One of his specialist areas is the environmental impact of ICT and he is the author of the Agency's Sustainable IT Strategy as well as running a programme of innovation pilots in this area.

Simon has recently been working with the BCS, Gartner & HM Government's Green Delivery Unit to share best practices, processes and metrics in sustainable IT.

Philip is responsible for taking forward 'Green IT' within HMRC, working with the Department's IT providers to deliver change which will help the Department to meet its corporate responsibilities.

Philip is a co-founder of the HMG CTO Council Green Delivery Unit, working with OGD colleagues to share best practices, processes and metrics in sustainable IT.

Intellect brings technology companies together to influence public policy, develop markets, and improve members' business performance.

Sir Ian Andrews CBE TD

Second Permanent Under Secretary, Ministry Of Defence

In late 1995, Sir Ian was appointed as Managing Director of the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) with responsibility for systems and equipment test and evaluation, and for DERA's major facilities. From 1998, as Chief Executive of what is now the Defence Estates Agency, he oversaw the development and implementation of the Department's strategy for the management of its land and property and of a new approach to construction procurement. He became 2nd PUS in March 2002 and appointed a Knight Batchelor in January 2007.

Emily Holmes

Emily started working for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in 2003. Following a number of roles in science policy and climate change she became Private Secretary to Lord Rooker in 2005, the Minister for Sustainable Farming and Food. She moved to the Cabinet Office in 2007 to work on the Transformational Government Strategy, including the development of a Green IT work programme for departments in Whitehall.

Minister of State for Energy

Malcolm Wicks was appointed Minister of State for Energy on 29 June 2007.

Mr Wicks was previously Minister of State for Science and Innovation (November 2006 to June 2007) and, before that, Minister of State for Energy (May 2005 to November 2006) at the Department of Trade and Industry.

Before joining DTI, Mr Wicks was Minister of State for Pensions (June 2003 - May 2005) and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Work (June 2001 - June 2003) at the Department for Work and Pensions and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Lifelong Learning at the Department for Education and Employment (appointed July 1999). Mr Wicks was the Chairman of the Education Select Committee from 1998 until his appointment as a Minister. He has been Member of Parliament for Croydon North since 1992.
